The bubbles fizz through my fingers and to the surface with each stroke I take. Keeping my eyes open, I watch the underwater world, where things are slower in motion -- my heart a little more carefree then on land. Sounds become muffled and gurgle with waves and rocks and swimming. I plunge into the salty water and extend my hands forward and into the heavy-squishiness of the sand, watching as my fingers turn the calm bottom into a storm.
In that moment, I fall in love with the ocean.
